Efficient three-stage wastewater treatment ensures that the new bioproduct mill will stay below the emission limits of the environmental permit of the running mill

The bioproduct mill in Kemi will be built using best available techniques (BAT) and in some cases even more advanced techniques (BAT+). The bioproduct mill will be world class in terms of environmental efficiency. An example of this is the wastewater treatment plant, where the treatment of wastewater has been enhanced. There are two more process stages than at the former wastewater treatment plant.
